Gregory Smith is the Executive Director of Porterville Strings. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in music (piano) and an outside field (math) from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2014. His teachers and mentors include Jean-Louis Haguenauer, Evelyne Brancart, Edward Auer, and André Watts. He worked at the Jacobs School of Music as a Piano Technician. Gregory just recently completed a move to Porterville, CA in order to continue his work with Porterville Summer Strings. He’s currently working as a member of Visalia Unified School District’s Elementary Music Team.
