Speedwell (Veronica Officinalis) is a perennial herbaceous plant that has a creeping (in the lower part), and then a rising, pubescent stem. The plant grows up to 30 centimeters in height. The leaves of Speedwell are obovate or oblong, opposite. The flowers are light lilac, bluish or, less commonly, pale pink and white. They are collected in multi-flowered brushes located at the top of the stems. The fruit is a two-celled multi-seed box. Seeds are tiny, up to 1 mm wide, flat convex.
